Shipping policy
At The Whimsical Spirit, every order is carefully packed with plenty of love, care, and a little extra magic to help it arrive safely. Because many of our items are handmade, dimensional, fragile, oversized, or limited-quantity, shipping and delivery details may vary depending on the item purchased.
Order Processing Time
Ready-to-ship items are typically processed and prepared for shipment or local delivery within 2–5 business days, unless otherwise stated in the product listing or announced during busy seasons.
Custom orders, made-to-order pieces, large designs, porch installations, and in-home decorating services may require additional time. Custom order timelines vary based on design complexity, supply availability, current order volume, and seasonal demand.
During busier seasons, especially fall and Christmas, processing times may be longer. Any major delays will be communicated as soon as possible.
Shipping Availability
Shipping is available within the United States for eligible items.
Some items may not be available for shipping due to size, weight, fragility, or design structure. This may include certain oversized wreaths, large centerpieces, decorated Christmas trees, large porch pieces, or other specialty items.
If an item is not eligible for shipping, it will be marked as local pickup, local delivery, or local service only whenever possible.
Shipping Rates
Shipping rates are calculated based on item size, weight, destination, packaging requirements, and carrier rates.
Because many handmade wreaths, swags, centerpieces, bows, and seasonal pieces require larger boxes and protective packaging, shipping costs may be higher than standard small-package shipping.
Oversized items may require additional shipping fees. If shipping cannot be accurately calculated at checkout, The Whimsical Spirit may contact you before fulfillment with updated shipping options.
Shipping Timelines
Once your order has been shipped, delivery times depend on the shipping carrier and destination. Carrier delivery estimates are not guaranteed and may be affected by weather, holidays, carrier delays, high shipping volume, or other circumstances outside of our control.
The Whimsical Spirit is not responsible for carrier delays once a package has been accepted by the shipping carrier.
Shipping Address Accuracy
Customers are responsible for entering a complete and accurate shipping address at checkout.
The Whimsical Spirit is not responsible for packages that are delayed, returned, misdelivered, or lost due to incorrect or incomplete shipping information provided by the customer.
If a package is returned due to an incorrect address, refused delivery, or failure to pick up the package from the carrier, the customer may be responsible for additional shipping fees to resend the order.
Tracking Information
When your order ships, tracking information will be provided when available. Please allow time for tracking updates to appear after the package has been accepted by the carrier.
Once tracking shows that a package has been delivered, The Whimsical Spirit is not responsible for lost, stolen, or misplaced packages.
If your package is marked as delivered but you cannot locate it, please check around your delivery area, with neighbors, household members, front office staff, or your local carrier before reaching out.
Damaged Packages or Items
If your item arrives damaged, please contact The Whimsical Spirit within 3 calendar days of delivery.
Please include:
- Your order number or proof of purchase
- Clear photos of the damaged item
- Clear photos of the shipping box
- Clear photos of all original packaging materials
- A brief description of the damage
Please keep the damaged item, shipping box, and all original packaging materials until the claim has been reviewed. These materials may be required for a carrier claim and may be needed if the item must be returned for repair or replacement.
If the damage claim is approved, The Whimsical Spirit will determine the best resolution, which may include repairing the item, replacing the item when possible, or issuing store credit. Because many pieces are handmade or limited-quantity, an exact replacement may not always be available.

Local Delivery
Local delivery is available for eligible orders within Fountain Hills, Arizona, and surrounding areas.
The Whimsical Spirit offers free local delivery within a 15-mile radius. Delivery locations outside of the 15-mile radius may still be available, but will require an additional delivery fee.
For locations 15+ miles away, delivery starts at $20 and may increase depending on distance, order size, item type, delivery requirements, and current availability.
Local delivery is not guaranteed for every order or location. If your address is outside the free local delivery range, The Whimsical Spirit will confirm delivery availability and any applicable delivery fee before your order is fulfilled.
Some oversized, fragile, or specialty items may require local delivery or pickup instead of standard shipping.
Local Delivery Scheduling
If local delivery is selected or arranged, The Whimsical Spirit will coordinate delivery details with the customer.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery information, gate codes, access instructions, preferred drop-off location, and any important details needed to safely complete the delivery.
If delivery cannot be completed due to an incorrect address, lack of access, unsafe conditions, pets, weather, or other issues outside of our control, the customer may need to reschedule and may be responsible for any additional delivery fees.
Porch Drop-Off & Unattended Delivery
With customer approval, local deliveries may be left at the front door, porch, entryway, or another agreed-upon location.
Once an item has been delivered to the agreed-upon location, The Whimsical Spirit is not responsible for theft, loss, weather damage, heat exposure, wind damage, pet damage, or damage caused after delivery.
To protect your item, please bring it inside as soon as possible after delivery, especially during extreme heat, rain, wind, monsoon weather, or direct sun exposure.
Local Pickup
Local pickup may be available for select orders by appointment only.
Pickup details, location, and availability will be provided after the order is placed or once the item is ready. Customers are responsible for picking up their order during the agreed-upon timeframe.
The Whimsical Spirit is not responsible for damage caused after an item has been picked up, including damage during transport, improper handling, storage, or display.
Large Items, Trees & Specialty Pieces
Large items, decorated Christmas trees, oversized wreaths, porch installations, and specialty pieces may be available for local pickup, local delivery, or local service only.
These items may not be eligible for standard shipping due to size, weight, fragility, or the risk of damage during transit.

Weather & Delivery Delays
Local delivery and shipping timelines may be affected by weather, extreme heat, storms, road conditions, holidays, illness, emergencies, carrier delays, or circumstances outside of our control.
If a local delivery needs to be rescheduled due to weather or safety concerns, The Whimsical Spirit will coordinate a new delivery time with the customer.
